Sumario:Abstract: The relation established between the two constituents of a collocation is frequently described as an interlexical selection. In this paper, we propose an extension of the selective restrictions consisting in considering the non-standard lexical function that justifies the cooccurrence of the collocation’s constituents as a kind of conditioned polysemy of the collocative when it appears not with a specific lexical base but with the materialization of a semanteme defining a class of objects. Eventually, the lexical function transmitted by the collocative can be extrapolated to other classes of objects. In this case, it is not possible to speak about lexical collocation but about a simple cooccurrence.
