| Sumario: | [EN] This article addresses an exploratory study related to the development of Digital Teaching Competence, carried out at the Universidad Tecnológica del Uruguay (UTEC). Considering the context of a young Institution, where there are still no studies of this nature, a self-perception survey based on the validated COMDID-A tool was applied to teachers, with the objective of determining the levels of development of Teaching Digital Competence. An intentional and voluntary sample of 81 participants was obtained, and the responses were analyzed based on the four Dimensions that the COMDID-A survey proposes. Important findings were made, such as the fact that in their self-perception, the institution s teachers develop transformative levels to design activities by making good use of digital tools and stimulating autonomous and collaborative learning, and using Digital Technologies in administrative work. On the other hand, initial levels were detected regarding forming teams of professionals for the development of Digital Teaching Competence and/or agreeing on guidelines related to the use of Digital Technologies in the academic unit with decision-making and leadership powers. Beginner levels were recorded in the use of open digital tools and resources, which promote the digital identity of the institution. In light of these findings, and the university´context related to the development of Digital Teaching Competence, suggestions for improvement were made, as a contribution of this work. |
