Descripción
Sumario:[EN] This article aims to demonstrate the plastic consistency in the work of Joaquin Vaquero Palacios and give a subjective, pictorial view that is developed, influencing and in synergy with architecture, in different contexts. Painting was a fundamental activity in his life, and he himself confessed that it was his aim to try to integrate the different artistic disciplines – this fact has been made known thanks to the analysis of his architecture as well as his sculptures and paintings. Once the evidence of this attempt to do this has been laid out, the methodology of this research will move away from this area, in order to make comparisons between his painting and his architecture, in contemporary stages. The purpose is to find out how generic aspects of his pictures and murals –corporeality, spatiality and monumentality; or more concrete aspects such as color, form and balance, became meta-pictorial values that went beyond the two-dimensional, being reflected both in the spatial aspects and in the construction material used.
