| Resumo: | This writing arose from the reading of the book by M.ª Isabel Lafuente, Libertad, ley y poder. Bien común y Derechos humanos en la obra de Francisco Suárez, which is discussed. The focus of my commentary in dialogue with this study is threefold. Firstly, to point out the importance that the work of Francisco Suárez (1548-1617) had mainly during the xvii-xviii centuries and the variation of perspective and method that modern philosophy introduced with respect to the making of scholasticism and Suárez's own natural law philosophy. Secondly, to indicate Suárez's recovery and actuality in the present. And, lastly, to show and offer the structure and main contents of the book by M.ª Isabel Lafuente with a brief conclusion. |
