Sumario:TITLE: Mortality study in Torredembarra in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. To study the mortality in the population of Torredembarra during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries has made an analysis of the parish archives of the Church of St. Pedro Apòstol. OBJECTIVES: Main objective: Detailed study of the evolution of mortality of the inhabitants of Torredembarra. Secondary Objectives: Study of the documented causes of death and the study of health worker. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Analysis of data from books of baptisms and deaths and graphical representation thereof. CONCLUSIONS: Remarks: 1. During the two hundred years of study have been a number of outbreaks, especially during the summer which has led to an increase in overall mortality, and especially infant mortality. 2. As has been documented cause of death in 4.55% of all registered deaths.
