Sumario:This study constitutes an analysis of the emergence and trajectory of the Catalan feminist movement between 1975 and 1985. From the social history and women's history approaches, the associative network and the different dynamics and relationships established between the feminist groups which emerged during the seventies and eighties of the twentieth century throughout the Catalan territory have been studied. The analysis extends from the ideological stance to the actions and mobilisations led by this agent of social transformation: feminism. In Catalonia, as in the rest of the Spanish country, the feminist struggles were introduced in the dynamic of anti-Franco mobilisation and the fight for the recovery of democratic freedom, which gave the feminist movement some distinctive characteristics in regard to the European and North American women's liberation movement. The analysis of the period is complemented with a comparison with the Portuguese feminist movement which also occurred during a period of transition from a dictatorial regime to a parliamentary system.
