Sumario:[EN] The objective of this work is to present a teaching proposal based on the advances of our research about the treatment that Argentina’s secondary education manuals give to subordinate clauses, in particular to “improper” adverbial ones. Since the manuals present in most cases the prototypical structures and in the activities they fundamentally propose that the student assign labels to the sequences, in this case we will focus on a proposal that leads the student to discover and reflect on the coherence and internal relations of the grammatical system. To do this, the performance of paraphrase constitutes a procedure that would help enrich the use of the language and reflect on aspects of the grammar of Spanish that may influence the recognition of the value of this type of adverbial subordinate sentences.
