Descripción
Sumario:[EN] Leon Tolstoy (1828-1910) was one of the key realist writers in Russian history, and portrayed the various aspects that made up the life of the country from different perspectives. In addition to his main themes such as sociability, politics and war conflicts, he also used art as a tool for the expression and contextualization of historical events. However, despite its recurring presence throughout his work, music in Tolstoy has hardly been treated as a concrete object of study until now. To record the symbolic importance that Tolstoy gave it and his influence on the total understanding of his works, this work will take over from "La música en el libro Ana Karenina" (Ballesteros 2021) in order to comparatively analyze all mentions to music present in the majority of his work.
