Sumario:Tourism is an economic activity related to capitalism, characterized by the modification of products and services. This way, historical and cultural heritage is considered a product, attractive demands resulting from different strategies created by the tourist activity. It is noted that there is a close correlation between the tourism development of some countries that receive the most tourists and their heritages. As an example, what happened in Spain, which is among the most visited cities we have Barcelona - CAT/ES, and has nine historical and cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, including seven works of the architect Gaudí. From this, this work general objective is to analyse preliminary results of studies on the importance of this historical and cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, in view of its use as a tourist attraction. The research methodology was based on the case study, data and information were collected from qualitative and quantitative secondary and primary sources. Among the results, the need for advances in the processes of control of demand is highlighted, mainly in the sites of Gaudí works, hiring professionals connected from the areas of tourism or history, using the aforementioned heritage sites in an ethical way, valuing their meaning and relevance
