Some painters and illustrators of Catalan modernism, including Ramon Casas, were particularly inspired by the model of the young «Parisienne» and adopted this typified figure in their paintings. The main purpose of this article is to approach the relationship between those artists and the representation of fashion in the context of their artistic creation as well as to bring out the impact of the Parisian archetype. |
