The intensity parameters have been calculated using both the Judd–Ofelt theory and the modified theory developed by Kornienko, Kaminskii and Dunina. A comparison of the experimental oscillator strengths, the spontaneous emission probabilities and the lifetimes of the 3P0 level and those calculated using the above theoretical procedures has been performed for both samples.
