Methods of verification and validation of the numerical calculations can be carrying out experimental tests and realizing parametrical and sensitivity studies. This thesis presents a finite element model, which is focused on the web crippling resistance of trapezoidal sheeting, it is calibrated by an experimental test and is verified by different sensitivity studies. The finite element model was created in Ansys Mechanical 2019. The experimental test has been published by GRISPE in 2015. The sensitivity analyses include a mesh density study, an imperfection study, and a material model study. In this thesis all the details of this finite element model are presented, and the results of the sensitivity studies.
