Descrição
Resumo:Adolescence is a key stage in identity construction and psychosocial development, during which sexuality plays a central role and many adolescents turn to pornography out of curiosity or as a source of learning. This systematized narrative review analyzes the relationship between pornography consumption during adolescence, the adoption of sexist attitudes, and its potential link to gender-based violence. Studies published over the last 10 years were retrieved from PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL, and Web of Science, resulting in the inclusion of 11 articles. The findings indicate an association between early exposure to pornography and the normalization of sexist stereotypes and dynamics, which may promote behaviors related to gender-based violence. These results highlight the need to implement access-restriction measures and to promote comprehensive sexuality education from a gender perspective.
