| Sumario: | [eng] In this study a floristic inventory of the Cova de sa Gleda, a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) within the Natura 2000 Network, is presented. Two visits were conducted during the year 2024, and the species of bryophytes and tracheophytes present were inventoried. In total, 46 plant species were identified, with a notable proportion of bryophytes and pteridophytes (48% of the total). The vegetation generally exhibits a strong nitrophilous character, although in some areas typically cavedwelling communities can be observed. Some of the species present, such as Asplenium sagittatum, Lophocolea heterophylla, Sibthorpia africana, and Thamnobryum alopecurum, are particularly noteworthy due to their rarity outside the Serra de Tramuntana. This study, in addition to being the first taxonomic list for Cova de sa Gleda, is the continuation of a series of previous works in Balearic caves that are essential for understanding the biota and ecology of these unique habitats. |
