Sumario:There are several skills involved in the process of learning a language as it is Critical Thinking. The present thesis aims to analyse the role that Critical Thinking plays in 4 th of ESO EFL students' written productions. Accordingly, Critical Thinking skills are to be analysed throughout the present thesis. Moreover, topic familiarity regarding EFL students is also discussed. The thesis aims thus, to analyse both Critical Thinking skills and its interrelationship with topic familiarity in EFL students' written productions. Through a qualitative research based on Grounded Theory, data from 4th of ESO students have been analysed considering both Critical Thinking skills and topic familiarity. The analysis aims to draw the links between Critical Thinking skills and topic familiarity in written productions.
