Descrição
Resumo:This article describes the studies carried out to assess the quality of the historical information on the inflow regime of the Nalón river and the hydraulic resource available in the Rioseco reservoir, the catchment point of the supply system for the central area of Asturias, since the reliability of the methodology that has historically been used to calculate the average daily flows of the intermediate basin between Tanes and Rioseco is questioned. To this end, starting from the available contributions in the Tanes reservoir (located 5 km upstream from Rioseco), whose regime is less altered, and the quality of the data is higher, TETIS software is used to calibrate and validate a hydrological model to determine the available water resources in the Rioseco reservoir, which are practically unregulated. The results obtained conclude that the historical information on the water resources provided by this intermediate basin is unreliable, and that it would be interesting to consider it in future studies aimed at determining the security of the supply system.
