Sumario:Change is an essential knowledge of early algebra, since it allows the development of algebraic thinking in general and the development of functional thinking in particular. The first part of the article provides a theoretical foundation for early algebra and change. On this basis, a proposal is put forward for the distribution of content that allows the study of change in Early Childhood Education to be tackled from a holistic approach and, in primary education, from the contributions offered by the different blocks of content in the school curriculum. In the second part, various resources and activities are presented to work on change from 3 to 12 years of age
