Attaining growth in the area of the interest of very young people until it encompasses the most valuable and universal interests of the human being is a prior itary educational aim but it seems diffi cult to attain if there is no friendship between the educator and the pupil.El objeto de este artículo es explorar la relación entre la amistad y la educación del interés. El interés es un <em>radical </em>humano que debe ser objeto de especial atención educativa por su estrecha vinculación con la actitud moral. Pero para lograr un crecimiento educativo del interés que vaya más allá de su proliferación trivial conviene que se produzca cierta <em>igualación </em>entre educador y educando que es propia de la amistad. Conseguir un crecimiento del área de interés de los más jóvenes hasta que abarque los más valiosos y universales del ser humano es un objetivo educativo prioritario, pero que parece difícil de conseguir si no existe amistad entre educador y educando.Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de NavarraDadun.
