| Sumario: | Abstract: This research belongs to the paremiology, the scientific discipline dedicated to the paremias or brief and sententious statements. This disci- pline was created in the 20 th century and established in the 21 st century, which distinguishes the French and Spanish paremiography from the paremiography observed in the Middle Ages. After selecting a repertoire of French paremias, which will serve as the base of the present work, we will study the relationship between paremiology and terminology, between theory and practice of translation. This study will show the values of the paremias and therefore the utility of the paremiological research to deepen in the knowledge of the language and the culture of a country. |
