Sumario:The objective of this study is to evaluate web accessibility of the home pages of educational platforms of the top 20 Spanish universities found on the university ranking webometrics. The analysis has been carried out on the basis of the international standard set by the World Wide Web consortium. The above is a legal requirement in Spain for the public administration and for websites financed partially or fully by the government as well as those that belong to big companies. Various automatic web accessibility evaluation tools have also been used apart from manual verifications. The study reveals that the most prestigious Spanish universities hardly comply with the regulations of web accessibility.
