Descripción
Sumario:In this Final Master Project we are going to control the water quality in a high density aquaculture experiment. This experiment consists on a bioflocs system that allow us to increase the productivity and to reduce the environmental impacts of aquaculture. That is possible because we are working with a closed system without water renovation, in this system water quality parameters must be controlled. Among the monitorized parameters we measure the folllowing: pH, conductivity, dissolved oxigen, amonnia, nitrite, nitrate and reactive soluble phosphorus. In addition, we are going to analyze the photosynthetic pigments with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to determine the phytoplanktonic community composition. The main objective of this Final Project is to analize the role of phytoplanktonic community in the system water quality. In order to achieve this main objective, the following secondary objectives are established: 1) To obtain water samples from the aquaculture tanks in bioflocs systems every week 2)Filtrate the water samples and preservation in a deep freezer until their analysis 3)Analysis of photosyntetic pigments by HPLC 4)Determination of the phytoplanktonic's community composition by CHEMTAX software.5) Colaborate in the monitoring of water quality parameters 6)Statistical analysis of the water quality data and phytoplanktonic composition 7)Analysis of phytoplankton's influence in water quality in the biofloc aquaculture system
