Sumario:[EN] The Ethnological Museum of Barcelona is presented as a case study in the development of Spanish museography due to the intense relationship between the social, political and scientific interests that led to its creation and consolidation. The intersection of interests meant that, at a time of great complexity for Spanish society, this Museum was able to carry out work that enabled it to create a significant ethnological collection.
