Descripción
Sumario:[EN] The general objective of this research is to analyze the development of reading joy in 26 sixth grade students from the Caserío Las Lajas School, in El Salvador, through the application of reading workshop strategies that promote autonomy in the selection of texts, reading gamification and the development of commu-nication skills that encourage critical and creative thinking. It is a case study, a research with a mixed ap-proach, although with a predominance of qualitative, so the techniques were observation, interview, focus groups (families and teachers) and survey, in order to triangulate the data and avoid biases. The results show that the socialization of readings, the communication based on them was the strongest factor in the development of reading joy. Likewise, the need to have readers to guide reading activities at school or another place is highlighted.
