Sumario:This paper deals with the fauna of macromammals from the lower levels “Lower Member Complex”) of the Ambrona Middle Pleistocene site. Elephas (Palaeoloxodon) antiquus, remains are the most abundant in almost all the levels, varying between 28% and 38% of the total. Although elephants predominate, the Ambrona assemblage contains a very diversified fauna with at least nine different species.
