Sumario:Convent lives, written in the first person, underwent several rewriting processes by confessors and religious authorities. This text examines the reelaboration that Alonso de san Gerónimo (1668) engaged in of the original text by Ana de san Agustín (1606 and 1609), focusing not only on how passages from the former were incorporated into the latter but also on the new values they acquired when inserted into another textual context. It examines the staging of holiness put forth by the stories and the modes of female agency inscribed into them
