Descripción
Sumario:This study aims to show the evolution experienced by commerce and payment services thanks to the digital revolution, and to some extent also by the consumption habits generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, representing a paradigm shift with respect to the typical mechanics. But this also implies an exciting challenge for Law, which must rethink traditional schemes in order to reinterpret them in the light of practical reality. Proof of this is the so-called metaverse or parallel virtual world with its own economy, which will be developed by decentralized protocols, such as Blockchain, and where users will exchange value and assets through cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFT).
