Descripción
Sumario:[EN] The project is developed in Gestalgar, a municipality of Valencian Community, located specifically in the Serranos region, in the interior of the province of Valencia. The region is also commonly known as La Serranía del Turia, due to the name of the river that crossess it, Turia. The municipality is located on the southern slope of the hill “Alto Gaspar”, at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level. After a detailed analysis of the town and its surroundings, numerous problems are observed both in depopulation and its geographical location on the hillside, hindering accesibility and the lack of lodging services. On the contrary, the town located in a very broken mountainous environment offering a great variety of continous close relationship with nature, water and agriculture where the ditch runs through the urban perimeter. Therefore, the objective of the project, through a rural hotel, is to try to supply all the needs of the municipality at the same time as promoting tourism, highlighting the importance of the town’s own nature, as well the different cultural activities and points of interest offered by Gestalgar.
