The three research questions of the thesis are: the application of AI in business strategy, the advantages and disadvantages of using ChatGPT in the workplace, and the overall effect of digital transformation in business. The theoretical framework of this thesis is built on an extensive literature review covering AI’s capabilities, digital transformation, and change management theories, providing a comprehensive backdrop against which empirical data is examined. The empirical component is primarily derived from semi-structured interviews with business managers from diverse sectors, offering a practical perspective on the deployment and implications of AI tools like ChatGPT. The findings of this study shows that AI improve organizational operational productivity by reducing repetitive work, thereby allowing employees to focus on complex and higher-level tasks. Though AI fosters innovation and operational agility, it also brings with it new difficulties, including the loss of jobs, worries about data security, and the requirement for significant changes in organizational culture and skill sets. The thesis concludes by highlighting the critical issues that companies need solve in order maximize the potential of digital transformation, in addition to emphasizing the strategic and operational benefits of AI.
