Descrição
Resumo:El Carmel is a marginalized neighborhood in Barcelona that has undergone significant architectural and urban transformations, yet its architectural typology remains understudied. This subject can help understand and further contextualize other studies that range from subpar housing to building rehabilitation. To prove the hypothesis that El Carmel’s architecture can be classified as architectural type, archival and on-site research will be conducted to develop categories to facilitate cataloging and understanding El Carmel’s architectural phenomena.
