Descripción
Sumario:[EN] This paper offers an exhaustive study of the non-biblical sources of Apologeticum aduersus Elipandum written by Beatus of Liebana and Eterius of Osma at the end of 785 against the adoptionist doctrine defended by Archbishop Elipandus of Toledo. The editor of this treatise, Beng Löfstedt, identified the sources of 112 passages. In this new study, 26 of those sources will be corrected and more than 270 new sources will be added. The patristic works most frequently used in the Apologeticum are the Moralia in Iob of Gregory the Great, the Tractatus LIX in Psalmos (CPL 592) of Jerome and the Tractatus in Iohannis euangelium (CPL 278) of Augustine of Hippo. Other important authors, often cited, are Isidore of Seville, Tyconius, Justus of Urgell, Gregory of Elvira, Eutropius the Presbyter and Fulgentius of Ruspe.
