| Sumario: | Neurodegenerative diseases pose a serious problem because for the vast majority of these conditions there is no cure and, although existing treatments may alleviate some symptoms, they are not able to reverse the disease. For this reason, the discovery of new drugs is of vital importance. In this context, and due to the trajectory carried out in our research group, meta-terphenyl, 1,4-dihydropyridine and 5-oxohexahydroquinoline structures are a good starting point for the development of new drugs. In recent decades, a new factor to be taken into account in the process of obtaining a new molecule, sustainability, has been integrated. Over the last few years, methods based on the use of multicomponent reactions (MCR) have been developed as an alternative to traditional synthetic processes. These reactions are defined as synthesis processes that generate a single product from three or more reactants in a single process by means of a cascade of elementary reactions. In addition to RMCs, another methodology on the rise and closely related to green chemistry is mechanochemistry... |
