Far away from their identification with nation..states, the building of a new identity for the EU citizens has to pay attention to the presence of people coming from countries with diverse cultural and religious traditions and sociopolitical practices.El objetivo de este artículo es proporcionan, desde la teoría de la acción colec.. tiva, un marco de análisis que permita entender el proceso de diseño de una identidad "europea" en la UE, de naturaleza incluyente, en el contexto de, por un lado, sociedades receptoras deflujos migratorios de distintas partes del mundo en las que coexisten los intereses diversos de todos sus miembros y, por el otro, en plena revisión, tanto académica como política, de la ciudadanía.
