Our study strengths the importance in using parameters linked to viscerocranium, and frontal length, in equine racial studies on bone.Se han analizado 35 variables métricas de 19 cráneos procedentes de animales adultos de la raza equina Cavall Pirinenc Català, procediendo a su estudio por Análisis de Componentes Principales. Las variables relacionadas con la anchura del neurocráneo, las longitudes ventrales y las variables relacionadas con la órbita ocular son muy poco discriminantes. En cambio, las variables relacionadas con el viscerocráneo aparecen como especialmente discriminantes.
