| Resumo: | Thirty-five metric parameters were taken on 19 skulls belonging to adult Cavall Pirinenc Català horse breed and were subjected to a Principal Component Analysis. Parameters related with neurocranium width, ventral lengths and those related with ocular orbit are poorly discriminants. On the other hand, parameters related with viscerocranium are strongly discriminant. Our study strengths the importance in using parameters linked to viscerocranium, and frontal length, in equine racial studies on bone. |
