Descrição
Resumo:[EN] Based Project Learning (BPL) is an active methodology widely used in university teaching where, through interaction with the environment and implication with real problems, students face situations that lead them to develop projects with proposals resulting from active reflection and conscious commitment, allowing the development of both specific and transversal competencies in their teaching and learning process. In the academic components of Architectural Projects 2 and Construction I of the Architecture program of the October 2022-February 2023 academic cycle of the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, the BPL active learning methodology was implemented to improve the acquisition of competencies of the two academic components in parallel and increase their performance. A total of 45 students participated in the experience, organized into three groups: the experimental group, where the BPL methodology was implemented with the two subjects in common, and two control groups that developed the competencies of the two subjects independently. The project developed by the students was the architectural and constructive design of a multipurpose experiential pavilion through elements destined for public space, stay, and coexistence spaces in a certain area of the city. The results obtained show that the BPL methodology allowed the students to develop the necessary competencies through the performance of a comprehensive project that covered both architectural and construction aspects and also improved their academic performance.
