Directed evolution of extremophilic laccases towards industrial lignin valorisation
This effort has culminated in the development of a patent (EP21382978, PCT/EP2022/080219), showcasing the potential of the tailor-made extremophilic HRPLs for their application in wood conversion into bleached kraft pulp and wood fibreboards as well as for kraft lignin valorisation.
