Descripción
Sumario:The assessment is an integral part of the teaching-learning process. However, the traditional conception of assessment restricts its use to the results of student learning. On the contrary, the current perception of assessment includes students learning, the teaching faculty, the process of teaching-learning and even the assessment. Both ideas coexist today in the classroom. To know which is the most usual among Secondary Education teachers of geography and history, we have carried out a qualitative study, based on interviews and group discussions with fourteen teachers, which aims to show the assessment conceptions and practices of teachers in the relative thing to the moments in which this one is carried out and the instruments that they use for it. The results tell us that, although diversity exists in understanding the assessment by teachers, most of them opted for more current positions that leave, however, wide margin of improvement.
