Sumario:This paper analyses the use of slang in three French reference writers, famous argotiers of the XXth century: Albert Simonin, José Giovanni and Auguste Le Breton. We will first focus on the simbiotic relation between literature and a new way of expression common among the homeless and criminals, in short, of the “gangs” and the milieu to which they belong and which constitute their link. Then, we will analyse three chapters of their most representative works: Le Trou, Le Clan des Siciliens and Touchez pas au grisbi!
