| Resumo: | Corporate Social Responsibility is the commitment to ethical and moral principles and good corporative practices. Indeed, it has become an improved management tool for private and public organizations in the last 50 years. Social, environmental, ethical responsibilities are social demands to which public and private companies should respond with the same priority. Environmental policies are a relevant issue, as it has been evidenced at the Paris Summit (2015) on climate change (COP21). The environmental commitment and responsibility is at the epicentre of management, since it belongs to the major challenge of present-day society. Verifying that commitment – which is the proposal of this paper, related to public broadcasters – is checking how those organizations are fulfilling the objectives of the third millennium. The results show that some public media in Europe report on environmental issues, but there is a lack of detailed strategies to reduce their impact. |
