| Sumario: | Public radios and TV stations face institutional, political, economic and cultural challenges to achieve a position of legitimacy and importance in society. Based on the premise that commercial media diffuses visions on particular subjects, this article maps arguments most widely used by big newspapers to refer to public broadcast. Content analysis is the method used to observe 36 editorials, published between 2007 and 2018 by the newspapers Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de São Paulo and O Globo. In general, public media is presented from a mostly negative perspective, showing that public radio and tv stations are at the service of an official, partisan and propagandistic communication. |
