Descripción
Sumario:The dataset contains experimental measurements obtained from laboratory tests of a steel column to a concrete foundation joint, performed on a full-scale test. Four specimens were tested (CB1 - CB4). Specimens CB1 and CB2 have the same joint geometry and test setup and were tested on the same concrete foundation. Specimens CB 3 and CB4 have different joint geometry and test set-up, regrading the specimens CB1 and CB2 and were tested on the new concrete foundations. The tests were performed under displacement-controlled loading, applied to the steel column, with a loading rate of 0.05 mm/s for specimens CB1 and CB2, and 0.07 mm/s for specimens CB3 and CB4. Horizontal displacement-controlled loading was applied using hydraulic actuator. The dataset is provided in CSV format and includes detailed time-history records acquired during testing, such as applied force, displacement, stroke and strain measurements. Displacements during the tests were measured using a combination of linear variable displacement transducers (LVDTs), draw-wire sensors (DW), and a non-contact optical system based on the technology of Digital Image Correlation (DIC). Rotation of the joint obtained from the DIC measuring device is also obtained in the dataset. These experimental test results can be used to evaluate the performance of the steel column base joint, focusing on rotational stiffness, rotational capacity, and moment resistance. Besides the dataset in CSV format, supplementary materials are also provided, including a technical drawing of the experimental setup and a photograph of a tested specimen.
