Descripción
Sumario:The author takes the cue from the intersection between Saint Paul's Year and the Priesthood Year, to illustrate, within the context of an academic lectio, the Angelic Doctor's concept of the ministerial priesthood how it appears in his commentary on the corpus paulinum, and more specifìcally when he reflects on 1st Corinthians. Contrary to a certain hermeneutic which limits the early Christian community of Corinth to a purely charismatic reality, absent of ministerial elements, Aquinas conceives of a ministry subordinate to the acts of Christ, of an authentic sacerdotal nature and entirely at the service of the faithful. Therefore, one could simultaneously say that the priests are nothing in themselves, and yet, they are Christ.
