| Sumario: | [EN] Solar time is the protagonist in some works of video art. In this presentation we analyze the videos and video_installations of David Claerbout, Anri Sala, Francis Alÿs and our own, where the shadows and reflexions of the sun in motion create a dialog with the surrounding local spaces. These works provide evidence of the constellations of the solar time that were decisive in the pre_modern activities of man and were placing him in tune with his natural environment. They show the common intuition of some artists to challenge the rhythms of the digital clock of the global time, which marks the pace of contemporary life. |
