Los anfíboles de los volcanes de las islas Columbretes (Mediterráneo occidental)

In all the Columbretes islands there are rocks with amphiboles, in many cases in accidental fragments within the tuffs. All of them are magnesium-hastingsites, more or less zoned and reabsorbed. The amphiboles of the central islands of the main N-S alignment have formed at lower temperature and pres...

Descripción
Sumario:In all the Columbretes islands there are rocks with amphiboles, in many cases in accidental fragments within the tuffs. All of them are magnesium-hastingsites, more or less zoned and reabsorbed. The amphiboles of the central islands of the main N-S alignment have formed at lower temperature and pressure than the rest. The calculated formation depths are approximately the Moho depth for the area.
