Sumario:Electrowetting on dielectric (EWOD) is the change in weatability due to an applied electrostatic field. This effect is nowadays used to electrostatically control the shape of a liquid [1], developing the so-called liquid lenses (e.g. Varioptic [2]) or liquid pixels (e.g. Amazon Liquavista [3]) light beam focusing or for e-books among other applications. In this project we are going to fabricate and analyse through multiphysics modelling (COMSOL [4]) the main components involved in a electrowetting on dielectric liquid device.
