Electrowetting on dielectric: liquid device abrication and multiphysics simulation
Electrowetting on dielectric (EWOD) is the change in weatability due to an applied electrostatic field. This effect is nowadays used to electrostatically control the shape of a liquid [1], developing the so-called liquid lenses (e.g. Varioptic [2]) or liquid pixels (e.g. Amazon Liquavista [3]) light...

| Sumario: | Electrowetting on dielectric (EWOD) is the change in weatability due to an applied electrostatic field. This effect is nowadays used to electrostatically control the shape of a liquid [1], developing the so-called liquid lenses (e.g. Varioptic [2]) or liquid pixels (e.g. Amazon Liquavista [3]) light beam focusing or for e-books among other applications. In this project we are going to fabricate and analyse through multiphysics modelling (COMSOL [4]) the main components involved in a electrowetting on dielectric liquid device. To do this, electrostatic and microfluidic mode |
