Descripción
Sumario:[EN] In this article, a valuation of Calblanque Natural Reserve has been made using individual travel cost and contingent valuation with simple dichotomous format methods. Difference in valuation can be explained because of the economic concepts used in both, consumer surplus and equivalent variation. This difference suggests the absence of a significant substitution effect between the consumption of this environmental good and private goods. Nonetheless, the joint use of these methods allows us to incorporate into estimates an important part of the protest responses received in the contingent valuation method through the proposed recoding method.
