Twenty-six species have been identifies. The largest covering is given by Mastigocladus laminosus (Kütz.) Cohn., which is found in a lawny, laminated form or in gelatinous shapeless masses.Se realiza un estudio taxonómico de las cianofíceas de la fuente termal de ((As Burgas)), y se proporcionan datos de algunos parámetros físico-químicos ambientales, más significativos, que inciden o pueden incidir en su desarrollo. La cobertura algal sobre base granítica, se ve ampliamente desarrollada por el agua, de pH alcalino, a temperatura que oscila entre 64°C y temperatura ambiente, según los distintos puntos considerados. Se han identificado veintiséis especies. El mayor recubrimiento lo proporciona Mastigocladus laminosus (Kütz.)
