Sumario:[EN] Spatial distribution of Mullus barbatus larvae along the catalan coast during July 1983 and June 1985 is presented. The larvae of this species are typically hyponeustonic from the earliest stages of their development. The main spawing areas are related with the most productive zones influenced by continental waters. The distribution area of larvae becomes wider as the spawning period progresses. The larval size distribution does not seem to have any relationship with coastal distance or depth
