| Resumo: | The present Research Project will be carried out in a company dedicated to thestorage and commercialization of finished products for construction. Theproducts that are sold reach both retailers and wholesalers in the geographical sector.The company under study has a significant problem that is the excessive storage of materials without rotation, something that undoubtedly harms the company and also makes the cash flow is not adequate to meet the tastes and demands of customers, that generates a bad image of the company. An inventory management system appropriate for the size of the company will be designed, for which a diagnosis will first be made of the way in which it is currently carried out, the management of the supply chain, the acquisitions and the core part they are the communications between the departments and personnel involved in the whole process of acquisition of the merchandise, as well as in the payments and in the warehousing. For the development of the research, current methodologies will be used, related to the supply chain, inventory models, procurement processes and communications. These last processes will be directly supported by the good practices of the PMI methodology, since they allow to generate clear guidelines for the organization within the company. The research concludes with an analysis of the benefits obtained from the implementation. |
