Sumario:Abstract: Society experiences constant changes that require professionals with adaptation and decision-making skills to solve problems that may arise in their environment, in that sense; the purpose of this article is to determine how soft skills and hard skills are key for the training of comprehensive professionals. The elaboration of the research was done through the documentary review of the available material, to identify which are the soft skills and hard skills; and, the importance they have in the professional training of the individual, as well as for society. The contribution made was to propose soft skills and hard skills as a curricular unit for the training of comprehensive professionals
